Sleipnir Lift Management offers a variety of services in the global crane and rigging industry. With our head office and training facility located in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, our team have built their expertise in one of the harshest offshore environments in the world, with unique challenges and requirements. Safety is of the highest priority for our group of experts, and we adhere strictly to our national and international safety standards. We pride ourselves on having the only full motion based crane simulator in Canada, and are one of the few simulation centres in the world that incorporate banksmen and riggers into our training programs.

Our Services

We offer training programs for crane operators and crane support crews both for onshore and offshore industries.  Training programs are delivered on, or offshore, depending on the type of program and level of assessment. We offer comprehensive programs which are designed to include theoretical training, practical training using our purpose built rigging frame and rigging equipment or on-site equipment and simulation training using integrated full-motion based crane simulator, Banksperson and Rigger simulation stations.

We provide project planning services worldwide regardless of the size or complexity of the job.  We have experience in some of the world’s harshest environments planning and supervising a variety of lifts.  Every detail is considered, and we ensure the lift is properly organized, and executed in the most cost effective manner.  We can provide lift, and/or entire project planning by a professional engineer.

We also offer consultancy services regarding new or used Crane Sales, Crane Valuation, Rigging Sales, Crane Service or Maintenance, Crane or Equipment Transport Logistics plus any other aspect of the hoisting industry.

Offshore Crane Inspections

Initial, Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Offshore Crane Inspections are performed according to API Recommended Practice 2D by our “API Qualified Inspectors”. In-depth, mechanical or structural offshore crane inspections are performed by relevant engineers according to local authorities, regulations and clients requirements.

Offshore Rigging Inspections

Initial, Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Offshore Rigging Inspections are performed according to API Recommended Practice 2D by our “API Qualified Inspectors”. In-depth structural rigging inspections are performed by relevant engineers according to local authorities, regulations, and clients’ requirements.

Offshore Crane Load Tests

Offshore crane load tests are performed by our “API Qualified Inspectors” according to API Recommended Practice 2D.

Mobile Crane CSA Annual Inspection

Following CSA Z-150 Regulations, we offer engineered annual inspections that also include load tests.

Onshore Rigging Inspections

These inspections follow all regulations, plus manufacturer recommendations. Inspections are performed by qualified inspectors and/or engineers, depending on the type of inspection.

Audits

Company safety audits can be conducted to ensure Occupational Health and Safety Regulations and all other standards are met.  A detailed report of the findings and our recommendations is submitted at the final stage of this service.

Incident Investigations

We offer incident investigations regardless of the level of seriousness.  Relevant to the incident, qualified investigators are available on short notice on or offshore.  Confidential reports and recommendations are provided and specific employee training programs can be delivered to avoid a similar incident.
